Switch 2 Launch: Free Game Updates Enhance Classics
Tap title to read story
Nintendo will release free updates for 12 Switch games on June 5th, coinciding with the Switch 2 launch. These updates optimize visuals for the new console's larger screen, improve framerates, and add HDR support and GameShare functionality. Titles include popular franchises like Pokémon, Super Mario, and Zelda. While not as extensive as paid upgrades for some titles, these improvements should enhance the experience for players revisiting these games on the more powerful Switch 2.
