Google is reportedly developing "Magic Actions," an AI-powered upgrade to Android's notification system. Building upon existing Smart Actions, Magic Actions, powered by the Gemini AI model, will offer more personalized and contextually relevant shortcuts within notifications. These AI-generated actions, visually distinct from current options, aim to provide more sophisticated responses and proactive solutions, such as automatically contacting customer service after a flight cancellation. This feature, discovered in Android 16 code, is expected to be showcased at the upcoming Google I/O event.
