Multnomah County health officials confirmed a tuberculosis case at Lane Middle School in Southeast Portland. The individual was diagnosed recently but may have been contagious between September 3, 2024, and May 1, 2025. Potentially exposed individuals have been contacted. County officials state the risk to the general public is low. A community meeting is scheduled for May 20th to provide information and testing. Free blood tests will be offered.
