Google announced that its generative AI, Gemini, will integrate with Android Auto and Google's built-in car systems in the coming months. This will enhance the in-car experience by providing a more natural and powerful voice assistant capable of complex tasks like sending texts, playing music, finding restaurants, and engaging in open-ended conversations. Gemini will leverage cloud processing initially, but Google plans to enable edge computing for improved performance and reliability. The feature will support over 40 languages and be available in all regions with existing Gemini access.
