Trump Administration to Eliminate EPA Climate Divisions
Tap title to read story
The Trump administration plans to eliminate the EPA's climate change and energy efficiency divisions, including the Energy Star program. This move will affect several climate programs and potentially numerous EPA employees. The EPA claims these changes will improve the agency's core mission, while critics argue it contradicts efforts to reduce energy costs and undermines climate action. The Energy Star program, widely recognized and supported, could be discontinued, impacting consumer choices and energy savings. This decision follows earlier moves by the Trump administration to roll back Biden-era pollution regulations and dismiss key climate science findings.
