Following the Trump administration's dismissal of authors from the Sixth National Climate Assessment (NCA), the American Geophysical Union and American Meteorological Society announced they will publish a special collection of scientific studies on climate change. This collection, to be published across 29 peer-reviewed journals, will act as a continuation of the important work of the NCA, which was slated for 2028 release. The move is seen as a direct response to the administration's actions and efforts to downplay climate change threats. The new research will fill the gap left by the administration's decision to reconsider or abandon the NCA.
