Singer Jill Sobule, best known for her song "I Kissed a Girl," died at age 66 in a house fire in Woodbury, Minnesota, on Thursday morning. Sobule's career spanned decades, including a hit song on the "Clueless" soundtrack and a recent off-Broadway musical, "F--- 7th Grade." Her song "I Kissed a Girl," predating Katy Perry's similarly titled hit, was notable for its openly queer theme. A memorial gathering will replace her scheduled Denver performance.
