Tap title to read story
In his first 100 days, Donald Trump's administration initiated 145 actions to roll back environmental regulations, exceeding the number of rollbacks during his entire first term. These actions target clean air and water protections, climate change initiatives, and safeguards for wildlife and natural resources. The rollbacks, achieved through executive orders and agency memos, favor fossil fuel interests and prioritize increased oil and gas extraction. Experts criticize the speed and legality of these actions, while environmental groups express alarm over the potential consequences for public health and the environment. Despite legal challenges, the administration shows no sign of slowing its efforts.
