Two hikers in the Czech Republic stumbled upon a hidden treasure trove containing 598 gold coins and other valuable artifacts while hiking in the Krkonoše Mountains. The coins, minted between 1808 and the early 1900s, are valued at approximately $341,000. A metal box containing additional items like jewelry and tobacco bags was also discovered nearby. Experts believe the treasure was buried during times of uncertainty, such as wartime or monetary reforms, with the intention of retrieving it later.
