Irish rap group Kneecap has issued a public apology to the families of murdered British lawmakers David Amess and Jo Cox, following backlash over their controversial statements at concerts. The band denied supporting Hamas and Hezbollah, condemning attacks on civilians. However, police are investigating videos showing a band member appearing to shout support for Hamas and Hezbollah at a 2024 concert and calling for the death of Conservative MPs at a 2023 concert. The group's statements have drawn strong condemnation from British and Irish leaders, and the families of the murdered MPs have called the apology insufficient. Kneecap also faced criticism for anti-Israel messages displayed at Coachella.
