Young People Are Not As Happy As They Used to Be, Study Finds

A new study in Nature Mental Health, based on data from the Global Flourishing Study, reveals a flattening of the U-shaped happiness curve. Surveys of over 200,000 young adults (18-29) across 20+ countries show declining happiness, mental and physical health, and overall life flourishing. This challenges the long-held belief that happiness dips in midlife and rises in old age, suggesting a shift in young adult well-being.
