Universal Pictures is developing a new "Miami Vice" film, directed by Joseph Kosinski and starring a yet-to-be-announced cast. Dan Gilroy is rewriting the script, originally penned by Eric Warren Singer. The film is a drama based on the iconic 1980s TV series about undercover Miami cops battling drug dealers. Kosinski is currently busy with other projects, including the Brad Pitt-starring Formula One film. This new "Miami Vice" iteration follows a 2006 film adaptation.
