Thousands of mourners flocked to St. Peter's Basilica on Friday to pay their last respects to Pope Francis before his funeral on Saturday. The basilica remained open nearly 24 hours, with an estimated 150,000 visitors by noon. Long lines formed, with waits of several hours, but mourners expressed their gratitude for the Pope's legacy. Following the funeral, Pope Francis will be interred in the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.
