Pope Francis' coffin has been sealed in a private ceremony at St. Peter's Basilica following a three-day period where approximately 250,000 mourners paid their respects. His wooden coffin, containing his personal effects and papal insignia, was sealed inside a zinc coffin, which was then further sealed with official seals.
