China successfully launched the Shenzhou 20 crewed spacecraft on April 24, carrying three astronauts, Commander Chen Dong, and rookies Chen Zhongrui and Wang Jie, to the Tiangong space station. The mission will last six months, involving the handover from the Shenzhou 19 crew. The Shenzhou 20 crew will conduct experiments and manage the station, with a cargo resupply mission planned during their stay. This is China's ninth crewed mission to Tiangong, part of its plan for long-term habitation and commercial expansion of the space station.
