Most Americans expect higher prices as a result of Trump's tariffs

A new AP-NORC poll reveals declining public trust in President Trump's economic policies. Half of Americans believe Trump's tariffs will significantly increase prices, and a similar number are highly concerned about a potential recession. Approval of Trump's handling of the economy and trade hovers around 40%, unchanged from March. Concerns about rising grocery and general goods prices are widespread, with many citing the tariff war as detrimental. While some Trump supporters remain loyal, growing skepticism towards his trade approach is evident, particularly among younger demographics.
