The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences announced new Oscar voting rules. Voters must now watch all nominated films in their respective categories to vote in the final round. New regulations also address AI use in filmmaking, stating it neither helps nor harms nomination chances, and allow filmmakers with refugee status to be represented by a different country. A new casting award will debut with a 'bake-off' presentation, and a stunt design award will be added in 2028. The 2026 Oscars will be held on March 15th, hosted by Conan O'Brien.
