Scientists claim to have created a never-before-seen color, "olo," by using lasers to stimulate specific retinal cells. Five participants described the color as a saturated blue-green, but emphasized the experience surpasses visual representation. While one expert disputes the novelty, the team believes this "Oz vision" technology could advance understanding of color blindness and vision disorders.
