How to view northern lights in North Texas

A strong geomagnetic storm is expected to make the aurora borealis visible in parts of the southern United States, including North Texas, on Wednesday night. While visibility to the naked eye might be limited, using a camera with a long exposure setting or adjusting smartphone camera settings can enhance the viewing experience. The aurora is caused by solar storms sending electrons towards Earth, interacting with atmospheric gases and producing light.
