Gene Hackman's wife, Betsy Arakawa, died from hantavirus on February 12th, a week before Hackman passed away from cardiovascular disease and Alzheimer's. Arakawa's Google searches and emails revealed COVID-like symptoms in the days before her death, leading her to cancel appointments and order oxygen. Authorities found her laptop unlocked near her body, providing clues to her illness. The couple's bodies, along with one dog, were discovered on February 26th following a welfare check.
