Tap title to read story
Gayle King, following her Blue Origin spaceflight, defended the experience against criticism. She challenged critics to experience space travel themselves before judging. King acknowledged concerns about the cost and environmental impact of space tourism but highlighted Blue Origin's aims for waste management in space and the feminist milestone of an all-female crew. While some, including Emily Ratajkowski and Olivia Munn, questioned the flight's value given global issues, King emphasized the transformative perspective gained and the double standard in how male and female space travelers are described.
