Ending Cooperative Agreements’ Funding to Princeton University

The U.S. Department of Commerce announced the termination of nearly $4 million in funding to Princeton University. This decision, following a review of NOAA programs, aligns with the Trump administration's priorities and aims to streamline government spending. Three Princeton projects focused on climate change research were deemed misaligned with the administration's goals, promoting what they considered exaggerated climate threats and 'climate anxiety'. The funding cuts will take effect June 30, 2025, saving taxpayer money and reducing the size of the federal government.
