La Maison Blanche a retiré la nomination d'E.J. Antoni à la tête du Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). Antoni, un économiste conservateur critiqué pour son supposé partisanerie et ses erreurs de jugement économique, a suscité des inquiétudes quant à son aptitude pour le poste. Malgré le soutien de The Heritage Foundation, l'administration a invoqué le talent et un plan pour annoncer bientôt un nouveau candidat.
