Yoshinobu Yamamoto silenced Toronto with a complete-game masterpiece, retiring his final 20 batters to lift the Dodgers past the Blue Jays 5-1 in Game 2 at Rogers Centre and tie the World Series 1-1. The right-hander scattered four hits with eight strikeouts, no walks and 105 pitches, becoming the first pitcher in 24 years to throw back-to-back postseason complete games. Will Smith and Max Muncy broke a 1-1 deadlock with seventh-inning solo shots off Kevin Gausman, and Los Angeles added two in the eighth before Yamamoto slammed the door.
