Milei Wins Midterms, Expands Power Amid U.S. Financing

Argentina’s libertarian President Javier Milei scored midterm wins, with La Libertad Avanza topping 40% to Peronism’s 31%. Milei said allied blocs gained 14 Senate and 64 lower-house seats, enough to bolster veto power and deter impeachment as he advances spending cuts and tax and labor reforms.
