US, Malaysia Seal Trade Agreement, Critical Minerals Pact

President Donald Trump and Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim signed a trade agreement and a critical minerals pact in Kuala Lumpur on Sunday, moves aimed at boosting trade across Southeast Asia and responding to China’s tightening of access to rare earths. US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said Malaysia will modify tariffs and non-tariff barriers to enable more trade, with agriculture, technology and services expected to benefit.
