The Ohio State Buckeyezzzzz: So good, they’re boring

Top-ranked Ohio State flattened Penn State 38-14 to move to 8-0, then smothered the Nittany Lions 21-0 after halftime while outgaining them 259-60. True sophomore quarterback Julian Sayin went 20-of-23 for 316 yards and four touchdowns, part of an FBS-best 80.7 percent completion rate with 23 TDs and three interceptions. Receivers Jeremiah Smith and Carnell Tate each topped 120 yards and combined for three scores. With the nation’s stingiest defense allowing under 4 yards per play, Ohio State has outscored opponents 293-55 and rarely been threatened, with Michigan looming at season’s end.
