Ten people face trial accused of cyberbullying French president’s wife Brigitte Macron

A Paris court opened a trial Monday for ten people accused of cyberbullying France's first lady, Brigitte Macron, by spreading online claims she is a man and tying her age gap to 'pedophilia.' Prosecutors say eight men and two women posted 'numerous malicious comments'; seven appeared in court. Among them are Delphine Jegousse, who posted a four-hour video in 2021, and Aurélien Poirson-Atlan, whose X account was suspended last year. The judge said the harassment caused a deterioration of her physical and mental health. A verdict is expected later. The case follows the couple's defamation suit against Candace Owens.
