French prosecutors say suspects were arrested Saturday evening over the Louvre crown jewels heist, with one man stopped at Charles de Gaulle Airport as he prepared to leave the country. Prosecutor Laure Beccuau did not confirm how many were detained or whether any jewels were recovered. Thieves needed less than eight minutes to steal eight objects worth 88 million euros, scaling the façade with a basket lift, forcing a window and smashing cases before fleeing. A special police unit is leading a probe involving more than 100 investigators. One imperial crown was found outside, damaged but repairable.
