Shedeur Sanders will serve as the Browns’ backup quarterback Sunday at Pittsburgh, head coach Kevin Stefanski said Friday, after Cleveland traded Joe Flacco to the Bengals. Sanders slots in behind QB1 Dillon Gabriel, the third-round rookie who went 19-of-33 for 190 yards and two touchdowns in last week’s loss and has three TDs with no picks in three appearances. Sanders, drafted No. 144 overall after a trade up, is the only other QB on the 53-man roster; the team could sign practice-squad QB Bailey Zappe to provide an emergency third option. For Week 6, Sanders remains Cleveland’s QB2.
