Prince Andrew will stop using the Duke of York title, citing “continued accusations” over his links to Jeffrey Epstein—allegations he “vigorously” denies, including claims involving Virginia Giuffre. York Central MP Rachael Maskell welcomed the step but urged Parliament to consider her Removal of Titles Bill so titles can be stripped in future. She said York would be relieved and that pressure “clearly” played a part. Andrew also said he would not use other honours and noted the accusations distract from the Royal Family’s work; he dropped HRH in 2022 amid Ms Giuffre’s civil case.
