Lufthansa Flight Diverts After Fork Stabbings

A Lufthansa flight from Chicago to Germany diverted to Boston after a passenger stabbed two 17-year-olds with a metal fork, authorities said. Praneeth Kumar Usiripalli, 28, was charged with assault with a deadly weapon and arrested after landing at Logan. Prosecutors say one teen awoke in a middle seat as Usiripalli lunged at his left clavicle, then stabbed another in the back of the head, causing a laceration. He mimed a gun in his mouth, slapped a female passenger, and tried to slap a crew member. Officials say he lacks lawful U.S. status.
