Obama and Harris rally Democrats as Trump invests

Barack Obama and Kamala Harris held separate Saturday rallies urging Democrats to vote in Virginia and New Jersey governor contests and on a California measure to redraw the congressional map. In Norfolk and later Newark, Obama criticized Donald Trump’s record, promoted Abigail Spanberger and Mikie Sherrill, and linked their opponents to Trump. Trump’s operation is investing seven figures in turnout and staging tele-rallies, including one for Jack Ciattarelli. In California, Harris cast the proposition as a defense of voting power, while opponents said it would take control over who represents residents out of voters’ hands.
