Austin police have identified Robert Eugene Brashers, who died by suicide in 1999, as a new suspect in the 1991 Yogurt Shop Murders. DNA evidence has provided a "significant breakthrough" in the cold case that claimed the lives of four teenage girls. Brashers, who has been linked to other killings and rapes in multiple states, was previously identified as a suspect in 2009 based on new DNA tests. The case, which gained renewed attention with an HBO documentary, remains open.
