Milei said allied blocs gained 14 Senate and 64 lower-house seats, enough to bolster veto power and deter impeachment as he advances spending cuts and tax and labor reforms. The result, seen as a referendum on his two years, arrives amid U.S.-linked financing: Trump tied a $20 billion swap and $20 billion in loans to Milei’s showing, as the U.S. Treasury sold dollars to steady markets. Markets were expected to rally, but he still lacks majorities and turnout was under 68%.
