Jennifer Lawrence, long vocal in opposing Donald Trump, now says she is reconsidering speaking out against the president, telling The New York Times she doubts celebrity endorsements sway voters and fears inflaming divisions. The actor, who backed Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris and campaigned for Harris, says she wants to protect her art and channel her politics through work from her company Excellent Cadaver, including women’s rights documentaries. A supporter of reproductive rights, she added that Trump’s second term “feels different” because “he was very clear — and that’s what we chose.”
