Israel resuming ceasefire after strikes in Gaza kill 104 : NPR

Israel said the Gaza ceasefire was back on after overnight airstrikes — the deadliest since the Oct. 10 truce — killed 104 people, including 46 children, according to local health officials. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered the strikes, accusing Hamas of violating the deal by returning partial hostage remains and after an Israeli soldier who held U.S. citizenship was killed in Rafah. Hamas denied the shooting and called the raids a violation, delaying another body transfer. President Donald Trump defended Israel’s actions. Hospitals across Gaza reported dozens of bodies and wounded as families held funeral prayers.
