Senate confirms Herschel Walker as U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas

The Senate has confirmed Herschel Walker as the new U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas. Walker, a former NFL player and ally of President Trump, was approved in a party-line vote. He will be the first U.S. ambassador to the Bahamas in almost 15 years, filling a post vacant since 2011. Walker's prior Senate run in Georgia was marked by controversy, but he was nominated for this diplomatic role by Trump in December.
