Four Dead, 20 Injured at St. Helena Bar

At least four people were killed and 20 injured early Sunday when gunfire erupted at Willie’s Bar and Grill on St. Helena Island, South Carolina, authorities said. Deputies arrived around 1 a.m. to a large crowd and multiple gunshot victims; four were pronounced dead at the scene. The sheriff’s office said hundreds were present and many fled to nearby businesses and properties to shelter. Of those taken to hospitals, four were in critical condition. No arrests have been announced, though investigators are looking into a person of interest. Victims’ names are being withheld.
