49ers All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner out for season following severe right ankle injury

All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner suffered a season-ending right ankle dislocation and fracture during the 49ers’ 30-19 loss at Tampa Bay, leaving with an air cast as teammates gathered around. Coach Kyle Shanahan said the 28-year-old will have surgery; Warner later addressed the locker room. Already without Nick Bosa, Brock Purdy, George Kittle and others, San Francisco dropped to 4-2 as Mac Jones made his fourth start.
