The director of the Eisenhower Presidential Library, Todd Arrington, has resigned after reportedly opposing the gifting of a historical sword to King Charles during Donald Trump's state visit. Arrington was allegedly told to "resign or be fired" for resisting the Trump administration's request to present a sword symbolizing WWII collaboration. The administration ultimately gave a replica. Arrington expressed devastation and is seeking to reverse his departure, with reports also linking his exit to plans for a new education center at the library.
