Oklahoma sex offender arrested at New York college

After 13 years on the run, Oklahoma sex offender Anthony Lennon, 44, was arrested in New York, where officials say he’d enrolled at SUNY Canton under an alias. Authorities allege he staged a bloody abduction and robbery scene in 2012 to avoid new child pornography charges and later failed to register as a sex offender. Lennon had previously pleaded guilty in a 2008 case. Police say 2012 evidence included chat logs, a computer, and discs of child abuse images. Fingerprints confirmed his identity after the arrest. Officials praised law enforcement; his custody status and legal representation remain unclear.
