New York City’s three mayoral contenders traded barbs and stark policy contrasts in a raucous final TV debate, with Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, independent Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa clashing over ICE raids, homelessness, rents, zoning and the fate of Rikers Island. Accusations over support for Jewish New Yorkers and Cuomo’s harassment cases sparked some of the night’s sharpest moments, prompting repeated moderator warnings. Adams skipped again; Cuomo would accept his endorsement, the others would not. None named a 2028 favorite. Election Day is 4 November; early voting runs 25 October–2 November.
