British police rule out terrorism in UK train stabbing attack

British police ruled out a terrorism motive after a mass stabbing on a London-bound train, where two people remain in life-threatening condition and a total of 11 were treated. Two UK-born men, aged 32 and 35, were arrested within minutes after the train made an emergency stop at Huntingdon. Panic swept carriages as passengers fled; a national "Plato" alert was activated then stood down. Officials offered sympathies, LNER warned of major disruption until Monday, and police promised a high-visibility presence at stations and on trains.
