Former Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins killed in U.K. prison attack; 2 murder suspects appear in court

British police arrested two men on suspicion of murder after former Lostprophets singer Ian Watkins, 48, was fatally stabbed at HMP Wakefield in West Yorkshire. Emergency services were called Saturday morning; he was pronounced dead at the scene. West Yorkshire Police named the suspects as Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43; both later confirmed only their names and birth dates in court, BBC News reported. Watkins was serving a 29-year sentence for child sex offenses after pleading guilty in 2013, in a case a judge said breaks new ground. The band disbanded after his arrest.
