FBI agents shown kneeling during 2020 protests are fired : NPR

Over a dozen FBI agents were reportedly fired Friday, including those photographed kneeling at a 2020 racial justice protest. These agents were previously deployed to Washington D.C. to protect federal property. Despite initial confusion and lack of training for civil unrest, the agents stated they knelt to de-escalate. While an earlier review found no grounds for discipline, a subsequent investigation led to these dismissals. The FBI Agents Association condemned the firings, citing due process violations and damage to the Bureau's workforce.
