Graham Platner, a Democratic U.S. Senate candidate in Maine, apologized for a years-old skull-and-crossbones tattoo that resembles a Nazi symbol and said he will remove it. On Pod Save America, the Marine veteran said he got it drunk in 2007 in Split, Croatia; "I am not a secret Nazi." A decade-old video shows him dancing shirtless at a bar with the tattoo visible. Platner also regretted past Reddit posts that disparaged police and rural white Americans and minimized military sexual assault. ADL’s Jonathan Greenblatt condemned any flirtation with Nazism; Bernie Sanders kept his endorsement.
