Trump to Repatriate Survivors of Submersible Strike

President Donald Trump said two survivors of a U.S. strike on a suspected drug-carrying submersible in the Caribbean will be sent to Ecuador and Colombia for detention and prosecution. The Thursday attack — at least the sixth since early September — killed two others, bringing the toll to at least 29. Trump said U.S. intelligence assessed the vessel was loaded mostly with fentanyl and other narcotics. Pentagon video showed the craft skimming through waves before explosions rippled over its rear. Trump argues the U.S. is in an “armed conflict” with cartels, stirring legal doubts and bipartisan unease in Congress.
