Trump urges battle-line halt as drones strike

Aboard Air Force One, President Donald Trump said fighting in Ukraine should “stop at the lines where they are,” suggesting the Donbas be “cut up,” with most of it left in Russian hands and talks deferred. His remarks came as Ukrainian drones ignited a fire at Gazprom’s Orenburg gas plant and, Kyiv says, damaged Rosneft’s Novokuibyshevsk refinery. Russia kept striking, injuring 11 in Dnipropetrovsk and hitting a coal mine, while Kharkiv officials reported Russia used a rocket-powered aerial bomb for the first time. Moscow said it downed 45 drones; Ukraine reported 40 shot down or diverted.
