Trump Urges Battle-Line Ceasefire After Zelenskyy Meeting

After a lengthy White House meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, President Donald Trump urged Kyiv and Moscow to halt fighting “where they are,” edging back toward pressing Ukraine to give up retaking land lost to Russia. He later said the war should stop at current battle lines and signaled reluctance to sell Tomahawk missiles after a call with Vladimir Putin and plans to meet him in Budapest. Zelenskyy called for a cease-fire and talks, noting Trump neither said yes nor no on missiles. Trump conceded Putin may be stringing him along, but said he could handle it.
